A Guide to Shoulder Plushies

Shoulder Plushies are a fun way to show off your favorite characters as you wander around the parks! Here are some things to do that can enhance the

Tips and Tricks

How to better attach your friend so they don't fall off your shoulder:
The magnetic attraction you between the magnet inside of your plush and plate that goes under your shirt is not very strong, and weakens with the space added by clothing.  To increase the magnetic force, I picked up some larger magnets.  When I want to have a plush on my shoulder, I put the plate underneath the shirt as normal, and then place the magnet on top.  Then then plush sits on top of the magnet (you might need to flip the internal magnet in the plush so they don't repel each other).  the extra magnetic force keeps the plate from shifting and your pal from being flung off if you make a sudden movement.

These are the ones I found, but there are many other options available.  Just make sure you go with a high LB holding force option.  I bought both 20 LB and 100 LB originally, and very quickly learned that 20 does not do much, but 100 works well.

How to keep your friend from getting lost on rides:
As a lot of rides will require you to take off your buddy and having a secure way to attach your buddy keep them from flying off is key.  Just like above, the answer here is magnets.  I found these work very well.  You can clip them on to a bag or backpack and then when you go on a ride, align the magnet in your plush to the magnet and they will stay securely connected until you pull them apart.  This trick works well with the one above, as when you take your plush off, the magnet sitting on your shoulder keeps the under shirt plate from moving or getting lost.

Customization

If you want to add some flair to your buddy for your next trip to the the parks, getting them a mouse ear band is a simple yet fun way to do so!  We offer a selection of bands that have been custom designed to fit the unique shapes of different characters.  Each one comes with a specialized pattern/color combo that ties back to the character and is notched to allow  rubber band(s) to help keep the band on their head and not on the ground!  You can find the bands here.

Mix and Match Character Groups

The following groups have similar sized heads which allows the bands to be used on any one in the same group.

  1. Remy & Emile
  2. Winnie the Pooh, Spike the Bee, Rummy the Parrot

Is your Spike a little pirate?  Get him those skull and crossbones!
Have a Spike and Pooh?  Both are bee/honey related and can be swapped out nicely.

Availability

I have an ever growing collection of these cute plushies, and will continue to add designs as new characters join the party.  However, not all are easy to design and are giving me trouble...how does one make a head band that would fit on hei hei...some day i will figure that one out....
